Our last day of travel back home--very sad we will miss our nomadic life. We had got the camp set-up waxed, an hour and tents up, beds made, and braai on the go--pretty good going. But we planning our next trip... Watch this space if you not too bored! Sterkfontein Dam another of our GREAT dams. Last signal stop Sunrise at HOME _________ We spent the weekend sorting and tweaking our set-up, ready for the next time.

Cape Town WEEK 26th - 30th Sept... Anne

Our last week in Cape Town ahhhh no! 52 Victoria Road has been our home away from home and we have loved every minute in your beautiful home, thanks a stack Roger & Sue. We started this week adding to Howard's 'must do again' activities--ROCK CLIMBING. Thanks to another Freebie Howard did a training course at City Rock and was hooked, we have already found the spot for our return to Durban. We spent a few moments on Sunset Beach while Howard climbed. Our last hooray was a 'fine dining' experience at Salsify @ the Round House in Camps Bay. There is graffiti etched into the window panes from 1711 by brides testing their diamonds are real! Amazing experience with delicious food just not quite enough of it!!  Howard opted for home & chicken nuggets! Yet another freebie for locals on Wed @ the Zeitz museum Making the most of the last few days of Sunsets Our last walk--the Pipe Track a 'must do' A sad Farewell... And off we go for our last week of Orange

Cape Town WEEK 19th - 25th Sept... Anne

We added to our vast array of sunsets by climbing Signal Hill along with all the other locals & tourists, with our bottle of wine in hand--but of course why else would you climb a mountain and return in torchlight!!! Always good to start the day with a good book... In an attempt to look for some military stuff for Howard we ventured down south to Simon's Town only for it to be closed due to LOADSHEDDING!!!! Most annoying. But we saw the Penguins instead... And then David & Howard became penguins at Muizenburg while I had a quiet moment. David & Howard did the Lion's Head walk and I very definitely chose to stay home--TOO HIGH for me. How they aka Capetonians & Co do it in the dark by torchlight after a bottle of wine--just nuts! A 'hole in the wall' spot found for supper--run by trainee chefs.
